AgentsContent Writer

Run it automatically on solved tickets

Copy page

Wire your Content Writer to solved tickets and merged PRs so every resolution becomes a draft — no one has to remember to ask.

Overview

The Content Writer earns its keep when nobody has to trigger it. Once it's wired to your support tool and repo, every solved ticket and merged PR becomes a draft automatically — the moment someone resolves something new, it's already being written up.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Inkeep Enterprise with your Content Writer agent provisioned — schedule a demo if you don't have it yet

Wire the triggers

The trigger wiring touches your Zendesk and GitHub accounts, so it's set up once in the enterprise setup guide:

Once those are in place, resolving a tagged ticket or merging a PR drafts documentation on its own.

Tip
Tip

The inkeep_content_writer tag is the gate: only solved tickets carrying it run the Content Writer. That's how you choose exactly which resolutions become drafts — add the tag as part of resolving, or have an upstream rule add it.

Other ways to feed it

  • Slack — mention the Content Writer in a thread to hand it knowledge directly: "we changed the webhook retry behavior — here's the changelog." It drafts from what you tell it.

Where it reports

As it works, the Content Writer posts progress and the final draft link to Slack. Connect the Slack work app to your project, then invite it to the channel your docs team watches — type /invite @Inkeep in that channel — and that's where it reports.

Next steps

  • Review and publish — every draft waits for a human; review it, then publish or reject.
